However, a strong cold front moving through the area today, Friday, February 15, 2019, has brought gusty northwest winds and below freezing temperatures once again. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for St. Louis and most of the surrounding region from 9 a.m. to midnight Friday. The snowfall on Friday is expected to end by around midnight, leading to a roughly 24-hour snow-free period before another system comes through our area with a roughly 50 percent chance of bringing light snow late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
